Dexterous Endoscopes secures CHF 130k Bridge Proof of Concept Grant
Dexterous Endoscopes has secured a CHF 130k Bridge Proof of Concept grant to build its first prototype for bench testing and conduct the company’s first preclinical trial on cadavers, advancing variable stiffness endoscopes for safer and faster ENT surgeries.

We are proud to announce that Dexterous Endoscopes has been awarded the highly competitive Bridge Proof of Concept grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and Innosuisse, amounting to CHF 130,000.
The Bridge Proof of Concept program supports researchers in bringing their scientific results closer to the market. This grant will accelerate the translation of our technology from laboratory research to clinically relevant devices.
Initially developed as part of our work on variable stiffness catheters, our research has now evolved into next-generation variable stiffness endoscopes for ENT surgery. These devices can switch between soft and rigid modes, allowing surgeons to reach the most complex anatomical regions with greater safety, speed, and precision.
With the support of this grant, we will create the first prototype of our endoscope for bench testing, and by the end of the project, we plan to conduct our very first preclinical trial on cadavers.
This milestone reflects the strong potential of our technology to make ENT surgeries less invasive, faster, and safer for patients worldwide.
