Featured by EPFL for variable stiffness endoscope innovation
News
Dexterous Endoscopes has been featured in an official EPFL article highlighting its work on variable stiffness endoscopes enabling treatment in difficult-to-reach areas.
The article presents the technology developed at EPFL’s Laboratory of Intelligent Systems and its potential to combine flexibility and rigidity in a single device, opening new possibilities for minimally invasive procedures. It also underlines the impact of the platform solution in improving surgical precision and expanding treatment capabilities.
Dexterous Endoscopes won Venture Kick Stage 1 and CHF 10,000 in funding. The support will help validate our business case and advance variable stiffness endoscopes toward clinical adoption.
Dexterous Endoscopes secured an additional CHF 65k Bridge PoC grant and Innovation Booster Robotics support with CHUV Hospital as implementation partner. The funding enables multiple preclinical trials and a pilot study at CHUV to de-risk usability and performance.
Dexterous Endoscopes and its clinical advisors presented the variable stiffness endoscope at ERS 2025 in Budapest, gathering feedback from ENT surgeons and securing new pilot studies with hospitals.
